It was just three passionate people playing in a basement, now they’re two Grammy Award-winning musicians.

In 2009 in Columbus, Ohio, three college friends came together with their shared love of music. After two years, two of the band members decided to leave. Joshua Dun became part of Twenty One Pilots alongside Tyler Joseph in 2011. Six years later, they’re an award winning band with multiple songs in the Top Ten Singles in the U.S.

Their most recent hit tour was the Emotional Roadshow World Tour, with a total of 117 shows across the world. The tour started in May of 2016 and ends April of 2017.

On February 22, 2017, Twenty One Pilots visited the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Crowds of people were lined up outside of the arena, hours before the doors even opened.

At 5:30 pm, the doors opened and people rushed in. The arena was fully packed.

When 7 o’clock arrived, the first opening band came out on stage. Judah and the Lion got the crowd ready for the night with a few of their favorite songs. Next, Jon Bellion came out. During his last song, 80s films, everyone in the arena held up their phone with the flash light on; it was a very emotional moment for Jon, as he expressed to the crowd of roaring fans.

Finally, the time came everyone was waiting for. At 9 o’clock, Tyler and Josh came up on stage. The “pit,” or the floor where General Admission was, was packed tight. The band sang their songs, and the crowd got emotional for the Emotional Roadshow. It was a fun night full of determined fans, hotness, and a great band. The show ended around 11 pm and the fans were sad, but very pleased. It was a great night for everyone.
