Lukas Graham, a Danish pop and soul band, recently performed in Dallas on January 14, 2017. Fortunately, I was able to attend the show. I absolutely do not regret going because, honestly, it was the best concert I have been to. I have been to quite a few concerts and I say that after every concert, but this time I do think that Lukas Graham’s has been the best concert out of all of them.

The concert was held at The House of Blues in Dallas on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Doors opened at 7:00 PM, but since the concert was general admission, people arrived at the venue at least 3 hours before. I arrived at 5:00 PM to get a good spot in line. There were about 40 people already in line when I got to the venue.

At 6:30 PM the gates opened so we could go through metal detectors. After going through metal detectors, everyone had to crowd together so that more people could be able to go through the metal detectors, but even then, there was no pushing. When the doors opened at 7:00 PM the crowd was not crazy, there was not one person pushing  or running like at some concerts I have been to before. There was actually a line and not a crowd to get our tickets scanned since everyone was calm.

When we got inside nobody was running and I was able to get front row. The bouncers were friendly and were talking to people at the front while we waited for the show to begin at 8:00 PM. The opening act was Hein Cooper, a Sydney based singer/songwriter. I had never listened to his music, and for the first time doing so, I was impressed. His performance was astounding. After he got off the stage the crew began setting up the stage for Lukas Graham to go on.

About 30 minutes later lights went down and Lukas Graham came onstage. The crowd was hyped from beginning to end. Lukas Graham was giving his best throughout the entire show. In between songs he would stop to talk to the crowd about what each song means. At one point during the show, somebody in the crowd was almost passing out so he stopped the show until the person was taken out from the crowd and was better.

Overall, Lukas Graham’s performance was incredible and I enjoyed it from the beginning. After the show I was told by someone that saw them in Dallas during their last tour that the concert was better than the last time.
